At Northern AZ Mountain Wolf Hybrids, we know how amazing this breed is. That is why we decided to start breeding. we want to share this breed with responsible people who understand the breed or want to see just how amazing they are. We want the world to have the experience and knowledge to understand that wolf hybrids are not a threat! With the proper training and care wolf hybrid puppies CAN become part of your family. You can love them while allowing them to express their “wild side” with you!
Arizona Mountain Wolf Hybrids began in 2019 when we purchased Timber from an Arizona breeder in Tucson. We purchased Togo from the same breeder in 2020. Both have different parents of course. We have Embark and Wisdom Panel testing results for review. Timber and Togo was our first breeding pair. They had 2 litters of grey wolf puppies. We promised our son a pup from the first litter and our son named that pup Thor. Our daughter had fallen in love with Togo so much, she decided that her family wanted to have a pup too. They chose Skitzo, from Timber and Togo’s 2nd litter and he looks just like his dad! We had a client purchase Loki from Timber and Togo’s 2nd litter and due to unforeseen family issues, our client had to re-home Loki. His personality was so amazing that we decided to keep him. Before we brought Loki into our pack, we purchased Freya from a breeder in Oregon. In 2022, we unexpectedly lost Togo to bloat! This was so devastating and still is! He was such an amazing creature! He was our gentle giant who weighed 120 pounds. We have now retired Timber and will no longer breed her. Timber is pals with her son Thor and they stay together in the same enclosure. We are extremely careful when she comes into season that they do NOT breed! Our new breeding pair is Freya and Loki! They have had 2 litters so far. They will remain to be our only breeding pair and will always mate with each other and no other wolf dog.
Meet Freya and Loki!
We purchased Freya from a breeder in Oregon, Loki is Timber and Togo‘s son, as well as Thor and Skitzo’s brother.
The date is approaching fast for new litter. Don’t miss out! Accepting deposits. Due date is an estimate based on the first day Freya and Loki bred. Could also deliver near the 2nd week in Jan 2025 since breeding continues for a few weeks.

We brought Sam home in 2007. Our son adopted Dakoda. Sam and Dakoda were brothers. We brought Maggie home in 2013. Our plan was to breed them. One day, Sam jumped a gate at our house and apparently sterilized himself. They would breed but would never have puppies. We did not know he sterilized himself until 6 years after the accident when we took him to the vet for a check up and mentioned that they were not having puppies after breeding. The vet notice one of his testicles was much smaller than the other. They still stayed together as mates until we lost Sam at age 15. We lost Maggie at age 10. We lost Dakoda at age 12.
We do not recommend feeding raw diet and our vet agrees. A raw diet can be dangerous if not done right. We are not saying you can't feed raw. That is your choice! Please do your research. They do just fine on kibble. We will feed meat on occasion, but it is cooked. We also feed grain. We mix grain free "Salmon" with "fun stuff" such as Kibbles and Bits. Vet approved!
Each one will have a unique personality. There are no two alike. Behaviors can and will change constantly. They are very loving when they want to be! Can be very vocal and may even ”yell” at you if they are not pleased. They are howlers, and talkers. They can be destructive, stubborn, independent, loyal and energetic. They will dig, climb, jump and will chew on anything. They will “happy” pee when they get excited too! They are very intelligent creatures. Ours has turned on water faucets and can open certain doors. They are skittish and do not make good guard dogs. They are pack animals and do not like to be alone.
You MUST know if it is legal to own a wolf dog in your state. Just because your state is colored GREEN does not mean you have a green light to own. There are some states that are green but your county may require a permit. You need to know county, city and state laws. So do your research. If a permit is required by the state where you live, you will be asked to provide a copy of your valid permit before your pup is released to you. You will also be asked for your drivers license to prove residency. We will not sell a pup to you if you live in a state where they are illegal to own so please don't ask!
You will be required to arrange for any transporting when your pup is ready to go home at 6 weeks of age. We will need to know what company you choose and will need to be updated during transport on transporting ET’s and must be notified of any problems should they arise.
We will require you to sign a contract. The contract will state that if for any reason you can no longer care for your pup, you will contact us for assistance in re-homing with an option for us to take the pup back. You will not be given a refund and transport costs will be at your expense.
Our babies are adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your furever friend or to ask any questions. Non-Refundable deposit will be required
